Conscious Clothing

On this page, you will find information about our supply chain, our commitment to planting trees with every purchase, our charity work and our core values.

At cuidar clothing, we want to provide sustainable clothing that will stand the test of time. That is why for all of our t-shirts, embroidered patches and neck labels we have personally chosen suppliers that align with our values.

All of our clothing is manufactured using only organic and/or recycled materials, such as organic cotton and recycled polyester. We have purposely selected heavy set t-shirts for durability.

Earth Positive

It is not often a business and their supplier have so much in common in terms of their goals. We are lucky to be in that rare position and it has lead to amazing results!

Earth Positive's factory is in India (see below how we try to offset this distance!) and is completely climate neutral, powered only by solar and wind power, which has led to them becoming apart of the carbon trust. On top of this, they use Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) certified materials, amongst other standards, which guarantees sustainable sourcing.

Additionally, they are a member of the FAIR WEAR FOUNDATION, which guarantees the fair treatment of all of their employees including payment of the living wage and never using child labour.

All of our current products are PETA approved vegan.

We have made sure to select and support only a local supplier for our embroidery services. She is Berkshire-based and we have been able to build a great relationship with her.

We use eco-friendly, madeira branded embroidery thread and a weblon backing. Our neck labels and embroidered frog patches are sewn on using UK sourced GOTS certified organic thread.

Taking care of ourselves

In order to make the world a better place, we have to start with ourselves.

Our own mental and physical wellbeing is so important in ensuring that we are all happy and healthy.

When we feel mentally well, we are able to enjoy life and contribute positively to the world around us and make a difference.

Remember, it is about progression and not perfection.

Taking care of each other

In a world where you can be anything, be kind.

We were raised hearing this quote from our Mum and its something we truly live by at cuidar clothing.

We are committed to giving back and helping wherever we can. That is why we have committed to donating at least 15% of our profits for all of our sales to chosen charities.

Taking care of the world around us

As the old saying goes, there really is no alternative to our planet.

As such, it's so important that we do everything we can to protect it so that many future generations are able to experience it too.

We genuinely believe that this is not too big of a problem to tackle if everyone does their part.

Just making the simple change to our clothing can help you to help the planet.

Our 3 Core Values

Our Charity Work

The second of our core values is caring for those around us and that is why we have now and will always commit to donating at least 15% of ALL of our profits to charities and social causes.

You can find more information about them and view the full list of available charities click their logo below!

When we launched we committed to changing our charities every few months to widen our positive impact. Our current charities are:

1. Ocean Generation - Ocean generation is an inclusive global movement that exists to restore a sustainable relationship between humanity and the ocean through science and storytelling.

Ocean Generation turn ocean science into understandable and practical tools that people can use and apply in their every day lives. They use film and popular culture to engage people positively in the viral role the ocean plays supporting the world.

2. Single Homeless Project - Single Homeless Project or SHP is a London-wide charity with a vision iof a society where everyone has a place to call home.

They prevent homelessness, provide support and accommodation for those in need, promote wellbeing, enhance opportunities and by being a voice for change.

They empower people to take more control of their lives, equipping them with vital skills and building on their personal strengths. Their services assist with everything from registering with GPs to accessing training for employment.

3. Frimley Health Charity - Here at cuidar clothing, we like to give back locally.

All donations made to FHC help to provide specialist equipment and to drive life-changing improvements to healthcare and services across our communities. Working collaboratively with medical and support staff, FHC supports projects that make the biggest impact on the people that they treat each year – from babies, to children and young adults, to older people.

Our 3 core values

At cuidar clothing we know that in our supply chain that there are some unavoidable non-sustainable processes and carbon emissions. E.g. Our t-shirts are shipped from Asia to the UK and then delivered from Berkshire to you, our consumer.

We want to be transparent about this and do everything we can to offset it. That is why we have teamed up with Tree-Nation and plant one tree for every sale made.

Tree-Nation is a great project and they have even made our website CO2 neutral!
